SUMMARY:Inner Worlds and Outer Realities: An Artist Talk on Memory\, Thou
 ght\, and Immersive Storytelling
DESCRIPTION:Museum of the Moving Image and Taiwan Creative Content Agency
(TAICCA) present artists in conversation about how memories and thought
s can be translated into interactive digital art. \nTaiwanese artists Ti
ng-Tong Chang and Hsin Hsuan Yeh both manipulate the boundaries between
inner thoughts and external realities\, but through vastly different int
eractive lenses. In the installation Proof As If Proof Were Needed\, Cha
ng and his collaborators at UK-based Blast Theory explore the shared mem
ories of a relationship’s end\, focusing on the social and physical dyna
mics of people moving through a room. In contrast\, Yeh’s VR project\, S
ense of Nowhere\, offers a deeply isolated\, meditative experience that
examines the intimate dynamic between a single human and a computer head
set. \nIn a discussion moderated by guest curator Michaela Ternasky-Holl
and\, they will discuss the personal inspirations behind these works\, t
he technical execution of building these worlds\, and what ultimately in
formed their choices to create within their respective interactive mediu
ms. \nExperience Proof As If Proof Were Needed and Sense of Nowhere at t
he Museum from June 12 through September 6\, 2026. \nRSVP for the free a
rtist talk here. Attendees are welcome to attend a reception following t
he program. Please note to access the art works\, general Museum admissi
on is required. \nAbout the speakers: \nTing-Tong Chang (b.1982\, Taiwan
) is an artist who lives and works in Taipei\, Taiwan and Santiago de Co
mpostela\, Spain. Chang focuses on the critical aspects of gaming and ar
 t. His projects create immersive gaming experiences that attract both pl
ayers and art audiences through interactive interfaces designed to engag
e multiple senses\, allowing them to enter poetic narrative environments
with simple controls. His works have been exhibited internationally and
have received several international awards\, including the 2025 SXSW XR
Jury’s Special Award for Proof As If Proof Were Needed. \nHsin Hsuan Ye
